If there is one neighbourhood in Barcelona that I truly love, it is Poblenou.

When I decided to move the original Santa Rita Club home-dining concept into a new gastronomic space, I knew it had to be here.

I always felt that Poblenou was the place where a project like Santa Rita Experience could fit best: an independent, welcoming and unconventional gastronomic space within Barcelona’s dining scene.

The neighbourhood still preserves that unique blend of working-class heritage, creativity and local community life that makes it one of the most authentic and interesting areas of the city.

It is no coincidence that The New York Times recently included Poblenou among the must-visit destinations for 2026, highlighting its transformation into one of Barcelona’s most dynamic creative, cultural and gastronomic hubs while maintaining its Mediterranean and neighbourhood character.

That open-minded, creative spirit, far removed from more traditional formats, is also part of the identity of Santa Rita Experience.

Today, Santa Rita remains faithful to the same original idea: an intimate gastronomic experience, welcoming and open, where cooking, conversation and hospitality all share the same space.
